LEAVING CERT PREPARATION IN SALAMANCA
Our Salamanca trip is aimed at Leaving Certificate students who are serious about learning Spanish. It offers them a chance to vastly improve their speaking and listening abilities which now account for 45% of the Leaving Certificate exam. The trip falls just before the oral exam and is perfectly timed for improving your spoken Spanish and comprehension.
Students accepted on to the trip will spend 7 days living with a Spanish host family during the 2018 Easter break, taking classes with native Spanish teachers and exploring the culture and history of one of Spain’s oldest and most celebrated cities. Throughout the week there will be a variety of carefully organised and fully supervised activities. Our host families, who are famous for their warm welcomes, are carefully selected and vetted.
For over ten years we have been working with the best schools in Salamanca. They are all accredited by Instituto Cervantes and we have worked with them to develop a course that prepares students specifically for the Leaving Certificate exam by mirroring the Irish LC syllabus.
Salamanca is a historic university city located in the heart of Castilla & León, the region where modern Spanish was standardised. Famous worldwide for its academic standards and tradition of teaching pure Spanish, it is the perfect place to immerse yourself and practice the language.
Students will be accompanied by registered Irish teachers and will have the total support of our Care Team who are on hand in Salamanca 24/7.

Testimonials:
I was amazed at how much I learned in one week in Salamanca. It was great to be able to hear how Spanish is spoken by natives and to be able to understand them was even better!
Darragh, 18, Dublin
Salamanca is an incredible city. I really felt at home with my host family who were so nice. I want to go back!
Rob, 16, Wexford
I wanted to improve my speaking because I always go on holidays to Spain with my family. The Salamanca trip was such a great opportunity for me to do this and now I’m a lot more confident in Spanish!
